Assessment Professional Development Opportunities

ACCESS for ELLs® assessment

ACCESS trainings are usually given as a one day session, but can be expanded or customized according to your needs. WIDA requires a group of 25 participants, and the maximum would be an audience of 100. If you require training for more individuals, we ask that you plan two consecutive days of training to accommodate all of them.

Objectives:

  • Understand how test items are organized
  • Understand the background and structure of the four components of the test
  • Be able to apply the speaking test rubric and reliably score the speaking test

 

WIDA ACCESS Placement Test (W-APT)™

W-APT™ trainings are usually given as a one day session, but can be expanded or customized according to your needs. WIDA requires a group of 25 participants, and the maximum would be an audience of 100. If you require training for more individuals, we ask that you plan two consecutive days of training to accommodate all of them.

Objectives:

  • Understand how test items are organized
  • Be able to administer and score the listening and reading test
  • Be able to apply the speaking and writing test rubrics and reliably score the speaking and writing test
