ELD Standards in Action: Collaboration Workshop

Audience: Teams of Educators, Co-Teaching Pair, Administrative Cohorts
Recommended Number of Participants: 20-40
Duration: One to two days*

This workshop provides an overview of collaborative methods and models for planning, instruction, and assessment of ELLs using the WIDA ELD Standards. It is designed for teams, teacher pairs, or instructional coaches. Teams will leave with a developing plan for collaboration at their site around the needs of their ELLs.

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe key steps when co-planning for instruction and assessment of ELLs
  • Select co-teaching models appropriate for specific instructional settings
  • Develop instructional plans in teams using the WIDA ELP standards

Customizations include:

  • Level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  • Size of Group
  • Audience (grade-level, job responsibilities such as general education, ESL/bilingual, administrators)

Pricing

$4000 for the first day and $2500 for additional consecutive days
Price includes facilitator time, travel expenses, lodging, and meals

Hosting Requirements

  • Secure meeting space, including A/V equipment
  • Provide handouts
  • Communicate logistics with participants
  • Ensure a minimum of 10 participants
