Shu Jing Yen, Ph.D.
Research Associate, Center for Applied Linguistics
Shu Jing is a Senior Research Associate at CAL. She serves as Psychometrician for ACCESS for ELLs and as a member of CAL's Quantitative Research team. Prior to joining CAL in 2010, Shu Jing was a Research Scientist at Institute of Educational Sciences overseeing several large scale federate funded research grants in developing innovative educational assessment and accountability model. Prior to that, she was a Psychometrician at CTB/McGraw-Hill and the Maryland State Department of Education where she gained considerable experiences in all aspects of designing, developing, and analyzing large scale high stakes K-12 assessments. She also had extensive experiences in language testing which includes directing psychometric analyses for an adult English language assessment (TABE CLAS-E) used for federal accountability reporting. Shu Jing has a Ph.D. in Measurement, Applied Statistics, and Evaluation from the University of Maryland.
