ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 Score Reports for Instruction

Audience: Special Education, ELL Teachers, and Program Leaders

The ACCESS for ELLs Score Reports provide specific information on students' academic English language proficiency. Participants will examine the different types of reports, their connection to the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework, and how these reports can serve as a tool to initiate discussion on instruction. This workshop is appropriate for K-12 staff invested in the education of language learners.

Note: This workshop is not designed to support participants in interpreting scores for growth. That is done in data workshops.

Participants will be able to describe:

  • academic language within WIDA English Language Development Standards
  • the levels of language development within the performance definitions
  • the purpose and key features of ACCESS for ELLs Score Reports
  • ways to share ACCESS for ELLs scores to support English Language Learners

*We have found this number to be the most effective for facilitator-participant interaction. If you are considering additional participants, this must be discussed and approved with WIDA in advance as it may change the number of facilitators required for the event.
