Professional Learning

WIDA conducts research on professional learning in an effort to connect theory and practice. This research investigates professional development opportunities that the Consortium provides to educators in its member states. The findings of the research in turn inform WIDA's professional development offerings.

Literacy in Assessment and Data Designed for Effective Results for English Language Learners (LADDER for ELLs)

The LADDER for ELLs program is an 18-month professional development offering related to continuous school improvement and data-informed decision making for ELLs. Once fully developed, WIDA will provide the training to district coaches and school leadership teams. Research work on this topic includes:
