Knowledge and Skills

  1. Extensive knowledge of various uses of computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and word processors (for the formatting of complex documents). The tools include Microsoft Office, Office 365 Calendaring, SharePoint and WebEx.
  2. Strong attention to detail.
  3. Ability to problem-solve and respond to or refer questions to appropriate persons.
  4. Ability to do multiple tasks concurrently in a courteous and calm manner.
  5. Ability to converse with the public to ascertain their service needs and to provide information in a manner useful to all parties involved.
  6. Ability and willingness to work independently or on teams and/or with multiple professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong human relations skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diversity of people.
  8. Skilled in effectively planning and organizing the implementation of complex and lengthy assignments involving coordination of people within and outside of WCER.
  9. Knowledge of effective written communication.

Required:

  • Two years of successful project management experience
  • Capacity to work in diverse populations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or collaborate in a team setting

Preferred:

  • Experience working within an international school system or other global education context
  • Experience in the assessment and instruction of English Language Learners

Degree and area of specialization: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, in education, social science, or business preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful project management experience.
  • Experience using project management tools or software.
  • Capacity to work with diverse populations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven capacity to translate complex ideas into clear prose.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing large and complex projects, preferably revenue generating projects.
  • Experience with MS Project and/or SharePoint.
  • Project Management certification or similar training preferred.
