  1. Who should participate during the Spring 2017 ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 administration?

All students enrolled in the district (grades K-12) and classified ELL, with a code of "LY" on the 1st day of the test administration window, must be administered one of the following English language proficiency assessments:

    • Kindergarten ACCESS for ELLs
    • ACCESS for ELLs 2.0
    • Alternate ACCESS for ELLs

  2. Will Florida be administering online or paper ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 in 2016-2017?

For the 2016-2017 school year, Florida’s English Language Learners will continue to take the ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 as a paper-based assessment.

  3. What type of training is available for ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 for the three roles of those participating in delivery - Test Administrators, Test Coordinators, Technology Coordinators?

Trainings will consist of those provided by WIDA, DRC, and the Florida Department of Education. All training materials will be available virtually through web-based modules and online resources. School Test Coordinators and Test Administrators only need to review the paper pencil related training modules; disregard trainings for Technology Coordinators. Log in using your personal WIDA login and password. If you have been asked to complete WIDA online training activities but do not believe you have a login, please contact your District Test Coordinator.

  4. Are Test Administrators required to take the training quizzes to become approved to administer ACCESS for ELLs assessments?

Yes. Test Administrators must receive a passing score of 80% on all applicable quizzes. Log in using your personal WIDA login and password to access the applicable training courses and quizzes. If you have been asked to complete WIDA online training activities but do not believe you have a login, please contact your District Test Coordinator.
