How do I gain access to view and/or download WIDA Screener materials?

Your WIDA username and password are required (this is your personal ACCESS training login). You will use this information to access My Account and Secure Portal, from which you will need to select and complete either the WIDA Screener Online or WIDA Screener Paper training module, dependent upon which version your district uses. If you don't have a WIDA username and password, please contact the Office of Assessment at (405) 521-3341.

How do I set up my account for the ACCESS for ELLs Test Administrator Training Course?

In the past, the Office of Federal Programs has created WIDA Test Administrator accounts for district educators. Moving forward, ELL District-Level Coordinators will now have access to create WIDA Test Administrator user accounts for educators in their district.

If an ELL District-Level Coordinator does not already have access to the User Account Management Tool and the ACCESS for ELLs Account Creator in their account portal, they should contact the WIDA Client Services Center at 1-866-276-7735 or help@wida.us to gain access.

Am I required to take the test administrator training quizzes to become approved to administer the ACCESS test?

Yes. Log In to take the test administrator training quizzes. You must receive a passing score of 80% on all applicable quizzes.

Do I need to retake the training quizzes if I passed them in a previous year?

No, but review of the training course is strongly recommended, particularly the speaking portion.

Do I need to show proof of my passing quiz grades (80%) from previous years?

No., but District Testing Coordinators should regularly review training records in My Account and Secure Portal to ensure that all personnel administering testing are fully certified. Districts should also be able to provide evidence of this certification if requested

  1. Will Oklahoma be administering online or paper ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 in 2015-2016?

Beginning February 8, 2016, Oklahoma's English Language Learners (ELLs) will be administered ACCESS for ELLs 2.0, which replaces ACCESS for ELLs. The Oklahoma State Department of Education strongly encourages Grades 1-12 ELLs be administered the online version, as it allows for increased ease for test administrators. With the online version, test administrators no longer score the Speaking test and can group administer Speaking, as well as Reading, Writing and Listening to multiple students across grade levels. Kindergarten ACCESS for ELLs continues to be a paper-based kit. Local Education Agencies (LEAs) will determine if the Grades 1-12 assessment will be administered as an online or paper-based assessment.

The Kindergarten ACCESS, Alternate ACCESS and the Writing domain of the ACCESS for ELLs Test for Grades 1-3 continue to be a paper-based assessment.

  2. Will 4th and 5th grade ELLs on the Writing test respond by handwriting or keyboarding?

Oklahoma’s 4th and 5th graders will keyboard their Writing responses.

  3. What type of training is available for ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 for the three roles of those participating in delivery–Test Administrators, Test Coordinators, and Technology Coordinators?

All training materials will be available virtually through web-based modules and online resources.

    Trainings TBD

  4. What are District Assessment Coordinators permissions and responsibilities, according to OKSDE?

OK State Specific WIDA AMS DTC Permissions 2017–18
