Will USVI be administering online or paper ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 in 2015-2016?
Except for the Kindergarten assessment and grades 1-3 writing assessment, ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 will be an online assessment in the Virgin Islands. If there is a reason a district will need to consider the paper version (i.e. a school lacks the necessary technology infrastructure for a successful administration), the Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDOE) must grant permission. Specific instructions for requesting paper-based tests for all students and individual students will be provided by the Virgin Islands DOE in the Fall 2015.
What type of training is available for ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 for the three roles of those participating in delivery – Test Administrators, Test Coordinators, Tech Coordinators?
One half-day training will be provided to Test Administrators and Test Coordinators in January 2016.
All training materials will be available virtually through web-based modules and online resources.
Training information for the three ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 roles (Test Coordinator, Test Administrator,
and Technology Coordinator) is available on the ACCESS 2.0 Preparation Resources webpage. Users
may select their role (or all roles) to see currently available and upcoming resources.
Will 4-5th Grade ELLs handwrite or keyboard their responses to the Writing prompt?
They will keyboard their responses to their Writing prompt.
